|
We, here at United Way of Fresno County, would like to extend our thoughts and well wishes to all of those on the East Coast as they deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. In light of this ordeal, United Way U.S.A., with leadership from United Way of New York and United Ways along the Eastern Seaboard have established the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund. Contributions will go towards addressing the near-term and long-term recovery needs of communities most affected by the hurricane. Please visit uwsandyrecovery.org to donate to the fund or you can also use your phone to text RECOVERY to 52000 to make a $10 donation.
In these times of disaster, we would like to remind you that there IS help out there and a number you can call in case of natural disasters such as these arise. That number to call is 2-1-1. They can provide help and emergency assistance 24-hours a day, 7-days a week in over 140 different languages. Please visit our 2-1-1 webpage for more information!
