EMERGENCY FOOD & SHELTER PROGRAM (PHASE 29)
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and has been entrusted through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (PL 100-77) to provide shelter, food and supportive services for the nation’s hungry, homeless and people in economic crisis. FEMA each year awards funds to qualifying jurisdictions and State Set-Aside Committees.
Fresno County was awarded $706,874 for EFSP Phase 29 for 2011.
